Teen arrested after mother seen son had gun at Texas faculty drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray Information) - Several companies responded to a center school in Texas Friday morning after a teen’s mom seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center School around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teen never made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the world together with a number of other agencies in an attempt to seek out him.
The teen was found close to the college’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old might be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no risk made to the varsity or anybody inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Center Faculty was briefly placed on lockout on account of the incident.
