800 workers resign after firm asks them to work from office

As the Covid scenario has improved, a number of firms have already referred to as their workers to workplace, ending the work from home (WFH).

Over 800 WhiteHat Jr staff have resigned from the kids on-line coding studying edtech start-up within the last two months after being requested to work from workplace.

This comes after WhiteHat Jr, a platform which was acquired by BYJU’S in 2020, requested its employees to return to workplace inside a month’s time, according to an Inc42 report.

On March 18, the corporate introduced the policy to end work from home and asked distant employees to return to office by April 18.

The resignations got here from full-time employees of the sales, coding, and math teams. More workers are expected to place down their papers in the coming months.

One of many staff who resigned instructed the web site that a month’s time was not enough for relocation. “Some have youngsters, some have aged and sick dad and mom, while others have other duties. It's not right to call back staff in such a short time frame,” the previous WhiteHat Jr worker mentioned.

One other employee stated salaries also factored in the choice to not return to the workplace.
